Jingle All the Way: A 2023 Christmas Extravaganza!

2023 Mr Johnson yeah you Mr Johnson me yeah you yes. I just want to say oh okay me Mr Johnson here if it is a very white Christmas out yeah. Which he wants I don't I want a very Brown Christmas to truth be told but if it's a white Christmas I have? It on good authority then Mr Johnson will go sledding down the hill while singing carols oh for sure. Absolutely mm maybe maybe not on Christmas okay the weekend before and after maybe sometime after I want to see you singing carols going. 

Down sledding hill while running kids over oh jeez I'm kidding. I'm kidding the bloodbath Christmas I'm kidding yeah that. Being said Christmas traditions are fun they're good they're entertaining. Yeah I don't know what yours are all the time I know what my families are however I know what we'll have to do at least the weekend after Christmas because we can't do it the day after Christmas. 

What's the weekend after I don't know the Saturday after uh well I mean I guess yeah but what. Can't we do until after well cuz I have to work the 26th. What's the 26th oh Tuesday yeah oh do you not work did you just work the 26th. No I have to work the 26th 27th 28th. 29th this year uh new job new uh PTO schedule stuff unless they announced that last minute that the off closed which I doubt but they haven't in the past oh okay last. Year the day after Christmas what we do oh letter. 

Kenny Yep this year the final six episodes of letter Kenny are dropping on the 26th that's right so oh letter Kenny I figure what we need to do we need to break the seal. Maybe the 30th I don't know have to see. Yeah have your little girlfriend over oh boy you're like. Aon's girlfriend I'm not using her name out of respect right now. I be like so for now it's Aaron's girlfriend oh this is letter Kenny. 

Let's look at season one well it just gets worse I know so she. Can't handle season one that'd be a rough one would it be I think so I don't know I could be completely wrong but I'm just going to imagine it' be a rough one well. I don't know she might run out of chkas to throw you. Yeah she might and I'll sit there laughing. I'm not going to I'm not going help her and throw CH oh no I know and I'm not going to refill her chonas oh okay she's out once she runs out she runs out she's out by episode one then she's out I mean that' be good because I know if she has any so she may by then why. Ain't nobody buying her some gifts for Christmas no no no ohing how about bought oh my gosh. 

What I looked for the chla day calendar that doesn't exist yet I'm going to have to make that? The daily Chun like like your daily Chun or month of Christmas. Day no no no no no you know like how they have the calendars are like you know your daily inspirational quote your daily whatever yeah there needs to be a calendar the daily chuna. 

It's a different chuna each day with a different phrase what did you just say to me what. M Aaron is going to learn the way of attempting to dodge the chuna oh I'll. Do it it doesn't work it'll be easy? No it's not easy it will be it never is it'll be so easy. All right let let's revisit this after Christmas to dodge a Chong CLA yeah like one that's thrown at you uh-huh yeah once it's thrown yeah it's easy to dodge it once it's once it's left the hand it'll be easy to dodge you think so huh yeah all right that's that's that's Aaron's prediction let's see what he says after his uh girlfriend gets a box of chkas. It'll be easy you know how easy it is going Goodwill and being like I want chlas they're like how many. 

I've never put that to the test I've never never gotten a Goodwill to buy chonas before well when you have someone to buy for like I do well. I'll burn them I'll throw them in the fire you'll. Burn them yeah oh oh you are playing with danger danger danger Will Robinson no for any of those you know you know. All right they'll be fine all right you'll be fine that's what you say yeah. I'm glad you think so all right so heck yeah heck. Yeah heck yeah all right so Christmas this year is gonna look a little different for you uhuh. 

Oh how cute how sweet yeah why are you what are you doing that for yeah. What well I get to meet other family peoples it would be great? Well it would be great I don't they're entertaining they're interesting. It's a wild group can be at least. Compared to my family that's for sure okay don't take this to the wrong way shut. Up my family is boring white I get it um how do I put this nicely. 

Mayo is more entertaining than your family half the time. Mayo and Mayo was just this white Bland BL well but my my sister and the kids are a little more exciting than Mayo. Okay they're like a little bit of Sriracha mayo yeah well spice Sriracha. Mayo is not spicy it just says it's spicy it can be it has like a little bit of black pepper and it's like o it's nuh it's no no Sriracha. Got the Sriracha sriracha's got the Sriracha yeah Mayo Sriracha. Mayo got Sriracha all right so you've already kind of hinted that you're going to go over your girlfriend's family for Christmas it sounds like a couple of them couple of them yeah a yeah on the 22nd and the 24th and then maybe. 

The 25th and then the 24th what else are you doing that day nothing. Liar Christmas stuff of course uhuh Christmas Eve stuff of course what are you doing on Christmas Eve stuff going to church and doing what uh attending. Church you'll be doing more than attending sir I'll be playing music no you'll be singing in the choir I well I'll be doing that too so what what okay what song are you singing in the choir I don't know I'm just kid it's Noel Noel yeah but it's not the standard Noel which. Version of Noel I don't know how do not know what version of Noel I don't know I don't know I don't look at I just just listened to it and sang it I didn't look at who it was done by and well you've listened to it yeah so who does it I don't know what do you mean who I don't know it's like just it's a choir I don't know it's not like an artist it's just some choir but I don't know who they are or what they are all as I know is I've heard it and sung along to it what part are you singing. 

Part okay I could see that yeah I I ain't singing higher uhuh. Yeah I think you could do tener I probably could but I don't want to no no why because that means I have to really. Sing more no DB nope I need you to mic him and record it no D DB no no uhuh. She won't all right SB will no they aren't going to do nothing. I'm sure if I ask nicely you're like I'm I'll be busy doing my own audio stuff I need you to help me we'll see I I doubt it but yeah oh I'm sure I could do it I hope not. 

I'll be praying against it stop it from happening please ah so selfish yes. All right so but no but in all seriousness you're singing in the choir for first this is your first one right yes first public performance. Uh since middle school or Junior High yeah all right. Terrifying it's amazing the things that you get talked into yeah why. Do it laugh like that I don't know? 

I don't know I mean it's fun it's mus. I just don't know what I'm doing if I knew what I was doing it wouldn't be so scary why don't you practice I we got time right now practice. Nope this is not practicing no I have to I have to learn. How to uh you know use the diaphragm and not the throat or whatever I don't know what I'm doing so I got I got to take glassing or something? Probably don't even talk right I don't know. Yeah okay yeah that's why I'm doing Christmas Eve going to church and there's a Christmas party no this I don't know that's this Saturday that'd be tomorrow Sunday oh there's like a an actual like church Christmas party I think on Sunday. 

I don't know I see interesting and what are you supposed to take for this Christmas party I don't. Know is it a potluck is it catered is it are you supposed to bring a white elephant are you supposed to I don't know how. Do you not know things I it's the church you go to you should know this? Uh I don't know I haven't looked into it yet it's been talked about but I haven't heard anything talked about it as far as to if we have to bring anything I've. 

Only heard about dressing up for it potentially and something fun but oh dressing up I hate those parties. Any time a dress up that it's beyond just like jeans and a polo at the most I don't care if it's festive and fun. Yeah no ba humbug yes ba humbug ba hug ba humbug to them into all their kin if I get dressed in anything beyond that you. Are a lucky person because I really care for you if I get dressed beyond that? It's just a sweater I don't care if it's dress up in just like a sweater or dress up like in formal attire but I'm saying if I go beyond jeans and a polo for you that. Means you must be special and I care about whatever this situation is in order for me to go beyond that. 

Interesting why huh why are you going interesting oh I don't know. Why wait did you just wear a genan and Polo at like Josh and Amy's wedding? Yeah oh oh I wasn't in the wedding so that's true well what if you were you just can wear jeans in AP poloo then. H John's uh not John uh Josh yeah he's he's a good enough friend I would wear more. Fair if he asked I'd be like okay fine I'll put something on yeah. Yeah but it depends on the person it depends on the situation what four that's fair if I don't like you you're lucky if you're getting jeans. 

What was that for lucky for getting jeans you just wear shorts? Sure let's say shorts even oh geez uh oh was. That a noow yes shorts at most if I don't like you at most yeah shorts at most yeah if I don't like you I probably won't even go to the event okay all right as long as that's all right as long as that's clear. What were you thinking I don't know man I just as I said if I'm willing to wear like a suit or whatever that means you must be someone that I care about I like I don't know I like getting dressed up every now and then yeah it's a waste of time and it's an old Relic from an oldtime past just? Like a lot of traditions they need to be done away with that is not even a tradition. 

What getting dressed up to go at a fancy? Restaurant yeah that's tradition no yeah oh it's just fun there. Is nothing fun about dressing up ever yeah there is no there? Isn't yeah I think so what what's fun about it cuz. You look good I don't look good like this just. 

A slob and sweat not even whatever these are athletic pants and a t-shirt. Get a nice some nice khakis on and a belt and a nice buttonup shirt oh that's very uncomfortable I hate the fabric oh the fabric just got to get the right stuff all. All that fabric is just itchy and uncomfortable and annoying. Yep very much so yep I am one of those people of of form is last. Oh for sure Comfort function all first hence why I don't dress up even when my family was like oh you dress up nice for Christmas I'm like by humbug here's my jeans and t-shirt you're welcome at least wear a red or a green one I'd. 

Wear blue oh my God That's How ba humbug I go well actually no blue still works Blue's fine yeah. Yeah Blue's good that's a christmy color it can be could. Any color be christmy no what color canot be christmy Aaron. 

Purple what would purple be for Christmasy stuff Christmas lights and that's not common that's I don't know it can be I mean. You can use it but it's not like when I think Christmas colors I think blue red green brown. Orange yellow yeah orange is not a Christmas color yeah fire when I think Christmas color it's any color that you. Would get a a Christmas light in you? Don't see orange Christmas lights I don't see purple either lights. My mom has she has purple e that's Halloween no that's orange no purple is very much Halloween. What I just realized what did realize Aaron this? Is your first Christmas at the new church? 

Yeah so what are you guys doing Christmas Eve well two Christmas Eve services. Two yep cuz we got enough people that we to do two services so we're doing that and then um Christmas so Christmas Eve so normally. We do two services in the morning but because Christmas Eve is a Sunday are you just doing two in the evening what we're doing is we're streaming a service in the morning oh and then we're doing two in the evening on Christmas Eve interesting because practice for the Christmas Eve service start at noon. Start at noon we would still be in the middle of the second service normally at that point right so we're doing that um yeah actually interesting so wow hard to imagine it's already been that time frame. 

Uh back on the 3 yeah so not this past Sunday the Sunday before MH I was just getting ready to leave youth group and I get a call from Jonah. The worship team was supposed to have started recording. Music for that Christmas Eve live stream or you know stream the. Recorded stream that was going to go at morning Christmas Eve morning they. Were supposed to have started recording at 6 p.m.? Okay it was almost 8 maybe a little after 8 when he called me and goes. 

We can't get anything to record could you come help us dang and so I'm like well um and I was security for youth group so I was like give me a little. Bit of time here to finish up here uh and do stuff do what what I need to do to finish up and then I can come down and help you so you know one of the ladies she's like she's she immediately goes oh my husband can fill in for you. I was like because she's like what's on I was like yeah worship team they. Need help blah blah blah she's like oh my husband can fill in for you he can do security I was like he's in the middle of the meeting with the teen guys I was like I can wait like minutes. It's okay if they haven't been recording for 2 hours they can wait an additional 10 15 minutes right I'm like it's okay just we'll. Fig we'll figure it out 105 goes by I'm like I can't F any longer I was like it's starting to get late you know it's we're getting closer to that 8:30 Mark and I I looked to the security guy I was like hey um here's what's happening I'm GNA go for a minute or not for a minute I'm going to go I'm gonna early he's like oh I got you he's like here give me your uh security tag like like I'll cover for what you got to do mhm I get down there so so I grab my stuff and I leave and get down to the where they recording. 

Apparently a bunch of stuff went wrong it wasn't just the recording stuff like. It went from like a full worship team down to two people Jonah and one other person it's so it like things just went wrong in that regard and then they it so then they had change keys and all this stuff like like and they had the full audio video team there to record because they had record cameras multiple camera views they. Recording all this stuff MH but they couldn't get the audio to record huh because so normally in our normal setup the audio goes straight from the board to the live stream no processing blah blah blah we gotten that configuration set up like we used to have at Fellowship to do the audio separate so this other computer it they never really use it so they booted it up uh Jonah brought in his computer thinking he could get the sound card moved over and everything yeah apparently that didn't work don't know what happened there and so they're using the mac and they're yeah we can't get to record I'm like. 

Yes cool what are the channels we don't know. Like awesome cuz it's it's a it's a card that comes from the board so it's able to grab all the channels out the board but they're not labeled on the computer side oh yeah so I'm like so they that were not getting any signal so they. Were signal I could see the signal bars coming but then when you looked at recording you saw nothing on the wave and then when I hit playback I heard nothing in the headphones I'm there going what the heck is going on I see signal don't see signal why? Like I I don't know what's going on and it's a software I'm not used I'm not used to uh whatever Adobe or not Adobe um Apple's music was. The garage band no Pro Tools or whatever. It's like Apple's like professional music recording software they have cuz like I know like people have said that Pro Tools works the best on Apple Computers but yeah it's it's um it's whatever is specific it's Apple's doll okay. 

Then yeah I have no idea whatever that is um Logic Pro or whatever yeah logic pro oh logic okay so I'm sitting there going I have no idea I've. Never used this I don't know how to I'm sitting there going what do I do what do I do I'm trying things out and then I'm looking down and I see they have. Adobe edition installed hm I go I know how to use that software so I literally closed. What they were using I was like I hope you didn't anything that was in here closed it open? Up Edition and it goes you need a license to run this a so I'm like all like. I was like sign to my account like okay. Okay okay it's like I can transfer a license off of this computer to there so I literally unlicensed one of my personal computers to license that Mac temporarily MH booted. It up and then I like all right now I got to figure out all the channels. 

Right so I'm sitting there literally going Channel by Channel by Channel yeah labeling stuff or well figuring out I just need this I just need the sound I just needed two mics two instruments that's all I needed that's yeah that's nothing I was like but they weren't labeled so I had to go by one by one yeah until I found them all once I found them all I was like all right we're ready to go and we we we recorded dang and it it was. Two songs that's all we had to record. We didn't get out there close to like 10 oh my gosh but they had been there since six all like the camera guys everything. Trying to figure this out yep and yeah because by the time I get everything done and you know and then it took. Them a couple takes for each song and you know I'm s there going oh goodness oh goodness oh goodness like come on come on come on come on come on on come on come on but we got it going we I was like okay we're an audition I know audition I know how to make this work I we're good here I was like the other software I don't I can't tell you I don't know I've never. 

Well I say that's what Jonah uses his logic isn't it no because he us no he uses the FL Studios yeah he uses Windows based yeah that's right so I was like I you recommend to me so I was. Like I have no idea how to make this work I was like we're just going to make this happen made. It happen and then I was like all right now we need to get these fouls to Jonah yeah so we can play around with it yeah because he was the one who was editing them thankfully one of the guys uh there Andrew he was like oh I have a external. USB hard drive I was like oh you are a wonderful man and I I was like all right Jonah all the files I was like you're interested in takes eight and then I think it was like 15 or something like that I was. Like these are the takes you're interested in go he's like he's oh I'll just find him I was like no eight and I think it was 15 was like those. 

Two the other ones you can listen to play with I don't care I just wasn't to sort all the files up yeah. Know I was just like 85 go H I haven't heard the final results yet but there was definitely while recording it again this coming straight off the board right and I told Jonah this I was like dude there is such a volume difference in your voices between you and the other singer oh okay like Jonah like I could hear it was nice and pleasant the other singer I was peeling my headphones off because oh just coming through super she was just so loud which. I was like you know what we're not going to mess with the board right now for this I was like Jonah. Could fix this in post but but I just like and it was a multi-track so each you know track could be handled independently right but I was just like oh wow that was just I was like Jonah either you need to be louder or something but I was like and I did do for uh safety a stereo backup but this? 

Was all being recorded to a computer that? Honestly if we had to do more tracks than what we had it wouldn't. Have been able to keep up oh wow it was? It was a slow hard disc spinning disc thing so I was like well good thing we were down to four five tracks total because I think that's all that it could have handled so yeah so uh yeah anyways that wow! That was that was that was a fun I wasn't anticipating jumping in at all sort of deal and figuring out the tech real quick sort of thing but that's how it goes sometimes sometimes. 

Oh Church well like because of that then now I'm being tapped to record our. Saturday morning stuff so that'll be fun Saturday morning yeah so like once in a once. A month or so maybe it's every other month uh we have like a men's breakfast thing and so yeah I get to Now record all that too oh you get to record. The breakfast well the the the guy the speaker oh at the breakfast. Okay so doing all that now too so it's like oh look I get to now do more because like they know Yep they're like they're like hey I'm like all right I can do that I'll be there anyway just a little extra to remember to do be before and afterwards so yeah whatever. It happens um but yeah so for Christmas we're all so we're doing like I said the Christmas. 

Morning stream and then Christmas or Christmas morning Stream Christmas Eve morning stream and then the two candl light services on Christmas Eve night I love cand light services and that so we're doing that so they. Do a thing every Christmas I I had heard about it year but obviously couldn't see anything so what they do is they record? An online only service that's only streamed online because during the main service they're using some movie clips to make sermon illustrations but you can't stream that because of copyright issues so the iners gets one sermon online. Gets a completely different sermon interesting so I'm like oh well I got the online. Completely different sermon because yeah I was remote. 

Weird so apparently they and this a movie I haven't seen yet either so I'm like whatever they they used uh the movie Elf for sermon illustrations. I've never seen that movie you've never seen that movie no just like so for the Christmas Eve announcement. They used um well they didn't use they. Uh recorded their own scene you might have seen the movie I know I haven't uh National Leon's Christmas Vacation. Whatever yeah I think I've seen that once or twice I haven't seen it so they record their own scene of it to make the announcement for the Christmas Eve service thingy and nice that. Was seeing it I was like what and Andy Peterson he's like you've never seen this movie I'm like no I I I don't? 

Know what these references are what can you haven't even seen elf. Yeah why would I see elf well I guess I don't know it's it's a hit or miss for me I guess it's kind of grown to be more obnoxious as time's gone on that's just will Ferell or at least the characters he plays. Yeah that's why I did it because it's wol heral and I was just like so here I'm going to bring this up because I don't think I'm going to be by my own church I hope oh you. Will be I know uh apparently you'll have to tell me if this is the correct if this is what you remember from the movie or not or oh I won't know why won't you know it's probably been so long I don't remember stuff from it how could you not remember stuff from it if you've seen it but but anyways so it is all the Pastoral staff that recorded oh that's funny recorded it um and and they did that so that's cool as well as a worship leader and yeah I I saw the whole thing and I'm just in there going what is what? 

What is I'm like what's going on why are these people acting weird? I know I'm a church people and then ebener. Scrooge what about Ebenezer Scrooge do not def defile that name of that saint of that Saint. I'm kidding I'm kidding obvious hey at least I knew it wasn't Nebuchadnezzar Scrooge Nebuchadnezzar Scrooge. Why would I I don't I don't know why I say ezer nebuch nebuch I got it folks folks uh it being Aunt 80th? 

Year I think it'd be great to start this meal with Aunt Bethany giving Grace. What dear Grace Grace she passed away 30 years ago? They want you to say grace the blessing I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one. Nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all. Amen now Catherine if this turkey tastes Happ half as good as it looks we're in for an amazing treat.

Hey a Bethany aun Bethany she couldn't a dump truck through a nitroglycerin plant ises your cat by any like jello. I don't know about the cat clar but this Jello is good. Hey what to magag your dog oh nothing he's just yaking on a bone. 

Eddie I I just don't know how you got here surprised. I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up tomorrow morning my head sew into the carpet hey kosha Merry Christmas and we want to invite you to kosha City church's Christmas Eve service at 2:30 or 4:00 on Christmas Eve it's a 1our service where we'll have Christmas music candl light Christmas carols and a message we'll get you to your Christmas dinner on time and we can't wait to see you make new memories with us on Christmas Eve. That's cute did you say that's cute yeah. 

Why that's funny why not I don't know I that that's what they have there as the um like the official imitation thingy on only if it's exactly like that at the actual thing no it's not gonna be like that at the but yeah so they took time record that and put that out and all the Pastoral staff and that was in there including the youth pastor yeah yeah as soon as I heard that voice I was like oh was it op did you just say op in my head I did in your head you did yes you said the op op in the very Midwestern thing of op that is me so yeah so that's I'll be doing Christmas Eve so originally I wasn't supposed to be doing any audio for Christmas Eve but then the other guy Andrew um apparently? Had to be somewhere like at five like at five so like when the second service would be kind of wrapping up maybe going over a bit right and they're like can you help out I was like yeah I can I can jump in so now now I'll be running sound for Christmas Eve service as well as that and then New Year's oh man that's going to be a long day New Year's yeah that's going to be a long day? What are you doing on New Year's so New Year's Eve is a Sunday? 

Correct so I'll be running audio both both services that morning and then and then. Be doing a lock in for youth group that. Night oh ick I'll be doing security ick. That's fun so that's gonna be a long New Year Eve into New Year's but why just. 

Let them be with family it's for the kids yeah let the kids be with well I guess it depends on situation most teenagers do not want to be with their family. Most teenagers that's mean how many times did you go over to the Cooper family but it was a family thing yeah but it was wasn't Cooper and lot of his friends yeah okay what are you talking about it was with his family. Okay yeah okay yeah that's fair uh-huh yeah I totally would have done a church thing over that yeah exactly sure so I'll be doing that so that's going to be a long night I'm just I'm gonna basically because it ends at like 7: a.m. on New Year's Day so basic I'm basically GNA go from there and then. Crash at my mother's just dead done yep. 

That's fair but I can't sleep all day because I won't sleep at night that night and then cuz. Then I have to work the next day so it's going to be a balancing act of sleep well I they have to go to sleep at some point at church right. No they're going to stay up till 7 a.m.. That is what we're planning on oh my go which means I'm going to be up that entire time and because I'm running audio earlier in the day that means I have to be there at like 6:30 in the morning that. Sounds and then youth group starts p.m. poorly planned. 

I chose poorly is what you're saying oh man. That's rough so yeah they're like yeah we will provide all the caffeine in the world to keep the security guys up but going to do so much for so long yeah but I can stay up late easily like yeah yeah. You can yeah I forgot the other day it was but it was a day where I didn't have work or anything the next day so it was like a Friday night yeah and I looked at the clock and I go hm it's 6 o'clock in the morning. I was like I should probably get some sleep at some point I was. Like that that's that's was a bad choice on my part to stay up this late I was. Like thankfully I don't have anything today but if I did I would be dead but yeah knocked out but yeah so what as so that's what I'm doing Christmas Eve Christmas Day I have no idea what I'm doing at this point. 

Potentially same you're getting supended with your girlfriend I mean it's possible unless I'm not invited I don't know that might just be a strict family thing and I'm not that into the family yeah. Good yeah okay continue lying I I'm not. I'm just it's it's I'm not a part of the family yet officially. Continue lying I'm not we all know you're going to be I couldn't go hunting. Cuz I'm not a part of the family yet so Aaron will be spending his day his Christmas day with his uh girlfriend potentially. I didn't say with the family I said with the girlfriend potentially well she's going to be with the family. 

Potentially a she will be all right yeah I don't know what I'll be doing that day we'll see we'll see do not know I think. I'm invited to one I thing probably in the evening probably not the the morning. I don't know I don't care I'll just do what I'm told. 

Yes I said is nope I'm not traveling into that one good. That's a lot to unpack there I suppose if you want want to no no no no no I think we'll stay away from that one for now. Anywh who that was weird only if you make it weird. No that was weird um yall are weird it's fine. All right so you'll be spending the day making out with your girlfriend on Christmas day got it why. Was that what was that what was that for well all of a sudden you're like you're like don't inter that don't that? 

Nobody needs to know any of that no whatever. Man I think I'm only doing something my family on the 23rd. 23rd yep that's uh weird day to be doing stuff it's Saturday yeah that's I'm saying it's a weird day why it's two days before Christmas whoa. Who thought you'd have to do things outside of the day itself with family? It's either Christmas or bust that's lame then. You don't really care about your family guess that's what that communicates to me our family it's Christmas or bust that's dumb. 

That's how it is there see that's weird. No that's normal no that's weird now if it's friends or if it's like a group you're part of yeah I could see outside of that nah that's weird so like I know our wor the worship team Christmas part is until like middle January. It's a little late but whatever yeah again schedules man I know it's got to work come out exactly but family schedules that's a little weird no so what. Are you all going to do for then for your uh pre- Christmas Christmas oh how? Do you not know going to my cousin's house and then afterwards? 

We're just doing something at our house with the small group and what are you foodwise. Nothing why I don't know why don't you cook or something. I wasn't asked to yet I bet you if I go up there well your mom's probably not home uh nope okay if I leave your mom a note and says Aaron wants to cook something for the family Christmas I'm sure she love it no cuz the cousin and then will all have it all taken care of already but then you say you're going to come back to the for the small oh we'll just have. Leftovers oh yeah yeah we're not doing anything big here we're just hanging out we're not doing anything special you should surprise your parents cook them something nice for Christmas breakfast breakfast on the 25th on the 25th Yeah Christmas. Breakfast yep no doesn't have to be anything crazy no do some pre-sliced ham with some eggs and maybe some hash browns. 

I would I have to throw on spicy stuff for the old man. You put that on the side or you do his last so that way your mother doesn't suffer yeah pretty much. Cuz your old man can take it spicy ridiculous. Ridiculous why is it he just likes his spice in that way he's maybe part Mexican. 

Yeah uh what too spicy too spicy to enjoy it well. Not for him apparently apparently yeah he just can't taste anything. His buds are gone fair enough fair enough all. Right yeah so yeah do like that for your parents on Christmas morning yeah. There you go look at that you can learn how to cook I might. 

I might oh it's it's easy eggs are so easy to do it's sick but what style egg do you do I don't know over. Easy over medium just standard or do you poach them or do you soft. Boil do you hard boil do you Benedict. O I do like Benedict you should learn how to do it or or what I'll just crack them and throw them in the pan and be like all here you go so just fried eggs yep. I'll figure something out even my dog gets fancier eggs than you make man I like to keep it simple man she gets hard and softboiled eggs. 

Heart wait what so so sometimes she gets softboiled eggs sometimes she gets heart boiled eggs depending on what we do a soft. Boiled egg yeah what's a soft boil bag. How I would ask how but at the same time I know not to ask I've never had a soft boiled egg before no okay if you're think about a softboiled egg what's a softboiled egg? I don't know as opposed to a hardboiled egg yeah what's the difference one soft what. Soft is it the yolk yes so the white of the egg is still like a hardboiled egg yep but but it's not done long enough to make the yolk hard right the yolk is it's it's hard but it's like a thick like jam almost. Oh that's so delicious that sounds weird so what you what you'll do normally is you'll serve them in like a little egg dish with the egg sitting on top of it yeah and you crack the top off so then you can pull the top off of it yeah and then that way the yolk doesn't just spill over it's just there like a little and the egg white is still being used like a little cup and then you just go like an oyster or something. 

I've never had an oyster so I know um but so sometimes we'll get um Zena will get softboiled egg then sometimes she'll get hardboiled and she loves both so for Christmas uh she's definitely getting softboiled egg with some dog safe bacon and I'm she's getting some potato and what else am I making that day cuz whatever. I'm making that day I'm making a dog portion as well. Why you going the soft boiled egg is just I don't know man you know what's you know what's awesome get a soft boiled egg and then you get some toast and dip the toast in it okay so that that could be good yeah? That could be good yeah see I've I like doing the thing where if you have like a hole inside of your toast and then you cook the. Egg put the egg inside a little hole and it's called eggan a hole yeah I like that yeah that's fun yeah but I I don't normally fry an egg and give that to Zena because of all the grease and that. 

That's why she gets a lot of hardboiled and softboiled egg bacon. Dog safe bacon she does get once in a while bacon. Creas but you normally don't give bacon to dogs because of the potential parasites oh well. Good thing I have a dog well that's why you don't give dogs like ham products period oh this because of parasites even in cooked ham even in cooked ham yeah the dog could get a parasite from it h gross yep if you. Ever looked at cooked ham up close under microscope. There's still a lot of stuff moving around in it uh but our body kills it off okay but the dogs they get the the parasite and infects them and then. 

Congratulations if you like Christmas ham now you know it's full of parasites. You'll never look at ham the same way again no basically all our foods like that okay. Sorry what the heck man what well I guess that ruins my appetite so that's a good thing just. Kidding no it doesn't I'd still go piig out on all that stuff anyway yeah if I really wanted to if you wanted to you would we know it you know it all of us know it that's okay. Yeah I like food all right so you guys are just going to have little family get together you going bring. 

The girlfriend over to the your family stuff only in the evening she works during the day so she can't come to the cousins. Stuff gotcha that's why we're doing something afterwards in the evening. A yeah how cute yeah a we like to accommodate here oh you. Do huh yeah we like to work with people's schedules? Why are you laughing know it's weird that you don't do stuff at Christmas? It is weird it is weird I guess I'm more outside of the tradition than you are. Okay Breaking Traditions who needs them except for getting dressed up at a fancy restaurant no that that's not a tradition all dress clothes needs to be destroyed and done away with ah for All Occasions. 

I'll just keep my own if you've ever seen um oh dang what was a movie that came out. I don't know equilibrium nope never seen it it came out about the same time that Matrix came out. Still haven't seen those you haven't seen The Matrix movie nope wow! That's even sadder than me not seeing Christmas Vacation nuh-uh yeah no not. True oh yeah no matrics are weird but anyways so equilibrium came out about the same time as Matrix came out about the same time like maybe within the year or so okay and in it essentially. It's uh it's not post-apocalyptic it it it depicts a future state of humankind. 

Where emotion is regulated and art is outlawed? H paron me goes huh that would be good for dress clothes. Just get rid of all the dress clothes no jeans and t-shirt for everyone for everything dude W that's too dressy. Fine then let's go back to Our Roots. Birthday suits and fig leaves fig leaves fig leaves and grass skirts for everyone heck yeah. 

Aon's like yes I'll do it no no I would not do that no T-shirt and jeans is perfectly suitable for every occasion sweats. No sweats no why why no sweats I like sweats they're comfy. They're more comfy than jeans are they're not as dressy as jeans are. I'm not nope nope I'm G to keep keep that one for myself right now. Uh but yeah so jeans t-shirt per but anyways yeah. 

I don't know what I'm doing for a Christmas day that's fine. Maybe I'll do nothing and that will be perfectly beautiful oh you'll do something why CU you will why will I do something because you will. You just you just will what if my something is literally staying at home playing video games no it won't with my dog it won't be what if that's what I do but it's not gonna be why because I know how do you know because haven't you always gone to the Peters ends. Not for Christmas oh just Thanksgiving yeah oh all right never mind. 

Yeah maybe not that sounds kind of nice though what sitting. Down doing nothing yeah that sound pretty nice and it's good to do that once in a while just relax and do nothing. It really is you need to chill out and that's what sleep's for No Sleep is to rest and recover yeah relax. Is to mentally just do nothing no that's what doing when you're sleeping? Doing nothing no no no I have very weird dreams when I sleep. Very active weird dreams yeah so all right so you're going to do day oh Christmas pre- Christmas Saturday Yeah Christmas Eve and the Friday before Friday before yeah that's with one of her family oh yeah that's right CU we said multiple ones and Saturday with my family and then Sunday probably with her family and then Monday maybe with her family in the evening morning with my family. 

Yep all right you got a very packed full Christmas. Week hopefully I'll have that week after off H nah well everyone will need velro. I'm kidding I'm using my PTO you still have PTO I have 32 left. Somehow how that's what I said they said when I hit my fiveyear. 

Mark they added like 20 hours to my PTO or something I was like what oh per year. 20 hours per year or did was it a 20 hour bonus for I think it 20 hour bonus for hitting five years and then when does your PTO Bank refresh or does it refresh oh on the new year. That's impressive you got a decent amount of PTO actually surprisingly I was not expecting that by any means so I like shoot. Cuz pretty much the uh poll was uh put out there to either work that week or not work un uh not work unpaid M and then. Came back later and he's like this is how much PTO you guys all have and came up to each one of us and told us how much PTO we had he's like you still have 32 I was like what I thought I was maxed out so I was like where did this come from but okay I'll. 

Take it yeah then you could take that week off and get most of it paid all of it babe don't. You work 40 hours a week yeah but Christmas is on Monday we get paid oh okay that's that's true yep so still get a whole week paid. All right so lot of lot of family between you and the girlfriend family yeah parties mhm. Nice be fun hopefully got all your Christmas shopping done already heck no good. 

Job you better have picked her out something nice. I mean I got her something you have to you don't have to say what is oh no I mean I already got her from the trip I haven't I haven't done. Any like Christmasy shopping you better she's not a gift. Person she doesn't care okay I want to know what to get her anyways well I mean there's definitely ideas of what I could do but that's just too easy I want to do something different than. The easy routes yeah I know all right all. 

Right could do that that'd be funny any yeah okay. You could do that that'd be funny okay yeah. One of the ideas P she doesn't want me to but I could. You have to tell me what it is when there's nothing recording yeah. 

Okay all right yeah so you still have to do all your shopping gotcha yep. Except for my nephew Isaiah and my Joy got. Them done already yep well good all right yeah. I got got only one thing left to buy yeah actually scratch that now because of the color purple two things because of the color purple yes wait like. The the actual color purple or the movie a color purple because of our conversation about the color purple okay okay cuz. Like that's something that's coming out is the movie of Color Purple I'm thinking of something else I guess when I think of The Color Purple like the book. Yeah that I was thinking the book Okay no Okay so I was thinking okay that's what it is so it was a book which got turned into a musical uhhuh which back in 2005 now they're turning it into a movie so I was thinking of the musical oh so movie is still has yet to come out that's I was like what I was like I could have sworn that thing was already out there apparently. 

Yeah that's coming out oh wow soon well if you don't have anything to do during the day on Christmas now you have something to do nope. It's coming out Christmas Day nope I'm not seeing that unless you're in London then comes out November it came out November 20th oh dang but in the US it comes out on Christmas Day we weird yep you could be the whitest couple there. Nope nope nope nope nope so yeah that comes out Christmas Day in the US so yeah you're right that is a movie that is coming out but that's not why because now okay you said something actual color purple being a color not a Christmas color so now so now something just got added to my shopping list. Congratulations sweet all right so what else are you doing for Christmas then. 

Considering you got to do all your Christmas shopping still. You haven't even done for your parents yet no they're the hardest people no they're not the hardest people shot for mom is Dad's not. Dad's easy see for my mom every year I just add a little more home automation to her mix. 

Huh home automation oh yes because then it makes her her a little bit simpler makes my life a lot simpler cuz then she goes I can't do this I can go oh look I can do whatever it is remotely it's a gift for her and a gift for me two in one what a deal and I install it overnight while she sleeps. That's scary why scary well like she woke up one morning one Christmas and she had a new thermostat it was one of those home automation thermostats you. Know so you can voice control it and all that oh my gosh so overnight I took out her thermostat and popped in the new oh okay as long as you're doing it yeah. What do you think I was having people come in installed in the middle the night? That'd be kind of funny her dog wouldn't allow that her dog sees anyone she doesn't know and it's almost. 

16 old and still going yeah still find a way to do it that's wild. That that's wild so yeah for my mom it's pretty easy it's some new home automation that gets added into her repertoire of things like. This year it's going to be changing out the front locks. 

Can't do the back door until she gets the back door replaced because of the lock type it's not a deadbolt oh really oh okay it's one of those Jimmy proof bolts if you know what that is so you know deadbolt right inside. The door goes like this a Jimmy proof bolt on the inside portion MH instead of having the dead buol like that the bolt goes up and down through three rings essentially that are bolted to okay the uh inside frame mhm there's no way you can that. Does are all deadbolt style they're oh well yeah right but she's getting door replaced anyway so when she replaces the door? Automation goes in boom nice so it's easy to shop for the parents yeah it's different. 

Mom I'm sure there's something that you can find for your mother oh there'll be some that I can find yes but are they going to come watch you sing in your choir performance heck no why not I did. You invite them do they know yes okay right. Yeah you should them to come watch you sing in your choir they probably have their own Christmas Eve service yeah but to see their little baby boy and singing in the choir oh that's fine they. Don't need to see any of that uh-huh yeah. Yeah oh no nope nope nope nope nope I have to go to dad and be like so are you excited to see your son sing in the choir. What Christmas Eve service he is what Yeah Christmas Eve Kim in the choir? 

I hear he has a base solo no that'd be a lie that'd be a lie. I'm sure the girlfriend could uh arrange for a base solo for you no no no she. Could not yes no and gosh it sucks cuz her sister is the one in charge of it exactly why do you think I said I'm sure she could no she couldn't she wouldn't do that? 

No nah no I'm GNA text her right now oh no she's the one who put her number in my phone. What oh no ah she won't she put in oh yeah with her first and full name first and last name? First and full name yeah first and name actually. I should send her because then what why are you just send. 

Sh a I ain't gonna get no Bas solo I'm not gonna get no Bas solo uhuh I can't do it why can't you do it I I don't have the range for it you know like. I can barely do what I'm doing now then maybe you need to go higher to tener. No no have a nice little tenor solo come on give us a little tener singing no I don't even know what tener is higher than base well. Okay yes that I do know I don't know the range though higher. Than base but when how high is is too high when you go to Nat elto and then soprano. Which give us a little taste of what you're going to be doing on your choir performance debut? 

A lot of lips are a lot of lip uh what's what is it um lip. Syncing yeah lot ofp they won't even know really. They won't even know no they wouldn't know she would. Definitely know she's already pointed out how she can hear me yep. 

I don't like it why not just don't don't. Like it why don't you like it I like it I until I learn how to sing. Okay I don't want people hearing me but I'm doing choir why. You are a a contradiction of sorts no I'm not. 

No okay just like you're not a pushover nope I'm not a pushover not at all not at one bit. Not it's it's so weird because like I I like it but I just don't like I don't. Like I don't like the spotlight that's what it is you don't like the spotlight nope I hate the spotlight okay that that that is fair that's why I hate drum solos and solos in general. That is interesting yeah I don't don't like it maybe it's just because not practiced up I don't know maybe if I could actually do one I would probably enjoy it but H all right yeah it's going to be an interesting Christmas. Why is that I don't know it's G to be different? 

Different than the last just because you're dating someone that makes different yep. Compared to the last 20 seven years of my life. Even though I wouldn't consider all those yeah yeah. All right interesting interesting interesting interesting yeah me it's going to be more of the same just a normal. A normal Christmas another day off of work another day to just. 

Relax have fun with Zena feed her some fish skin. What was that look for that just sounds weird why fish skin yeah she loves them you eat skin of fish Zena does why? What's in fish skin they're the scales are great for her teeth really. Yeah they clean the tartar interesting and she loves the taste of it okay I guess I mean I have had fish skin before it does taste good but that cooked and yeah these are dried and yeah no I got a big old pack like this thick just full of thin paper thin fish skin. They're not for human consumption no no I know I don't know why but I totally just remembered that. Uh Josh gave me deer sticks to eat. 

I really want a deer stick now interesting. Yeah fish had fish skin no thank you that sounds. Awful you open up the bag and just smells like fish. Well I guess okay fish can smell good oh it's smells ridiculously good if but it's but you know it's definitely dog. Focused fish right yeah that's why she loves it sa it back giv Zena some fish skins play some video games some fish skins. 

I'll order a pizza put in the put in the fridge yeah. Eat it when it's cold oh gosh pizza sounds good I did that earlier this week cuz there's a Papa John's and just open up by me so I ordered a Papa John's popped. It in the fridge pulled it out later and and it was a stuffed crust Papa John oh they have stuffed crust they have stuffed crust and stuffed crust with pepperoni and the stuffed crust with the cheese oh interesting yep so I got stuffed crust sausage onion mushroom. Pop that in the fridge pulled it out delicious cold. I want pizza this is so difficult for the 12th day of Christmas. Paul tortured Me by sending me pizzas 11 do Domin. 

Uh 10 Hood stuff crust oh Pizza butt. Was it oh was it Papa John's has their like Oreo cookie uh it's like a dessert thing oh jeez so it's like this ball of dough with Oreo cookies in it in the middle that you dip in icing? Gosh I'm not see like I'm excited to go to Chicago tonight but if my friend wants deep dish pizza I'm it's over. Cuz that just sounds amazing just one bite just one bite yeah just. One little bite and then I'll get a salad but one little bite. I'll be good got to have my greens. What what at that point what I hope one of them from overseas yeah just takes a piece of pizza just? 

Be like one of the things they like bring it close to me then bring it away and just eat it and enjoy it I'll just like no just stuff it right in your stuff but then I'm GNA eat it I love deep dish pizza. This is terrible this is horrible I don't like any of this all. Right yeah well that's how eron wants to greet you a Merry Christmas is by saying he loves deep dis I love deep dish pizza. B humbug at least from me yes Merry Christmas Merry quiet Merry Christmas I don't know what Aaron's gonna say he might. Say I like deep dish I like I do like deep dish but Merry Christmas.
